The Ladies of Pi Gamma Share why they chose Delta Zeta
“I’ve always known I wanted to be part of a sisterhood, during recruitment I told myself that I would keep an open mind. Once I entered Delta Zeta I immediately thought “woah”. Delta Zeta was by far the most energetic and kind sisterhood I have seen. All the sisters I met were so incredibly welcoming and full of laughter, from day 1 my heart was set on Delta Zeta. Every women in this sisterhood has inspired me to be the best version of myself and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I absolutely love my big, she is full of light and has a warm heart. Now that I’m part of Delta Zeta I will cherish the moments I have with this sisterhood in my heart always”
- Melanie Menendez, Fall 2020
"Finding your home away from home and joining a sorority is like finding your second family, you meet people who you know you can count on, girls who will be there for you, support you and cheer for you in everything you do in life. When I first got a look at what the DZ sisterhood was like I was instantly surrounded by beautiful and friendly girls who welcomed me with open arms, and i couldn’t wait to make unbreakable bonds with them like I had seen them have with each other. Delta Zeta motivates me to be the best version of myself that I can be, and gives me the inspiration and courage to never give up on my dreams because I know I’ll have a whole family full of sisters rooting for my success and happiness no matter what. DZ has definitely been the highlight of my year, and my big is always there to spend time with me when I miss her and remind me that I'm amazing and capable of accomplishing great things just like the rest of my sisters. She’s fun, loyal, supportive and has the biggest heart! Although the type of love she has for me isn’t hard to find in our sisterhood. Even though things have to be virtual now I know when we’re all able to meet in person we’ll give each other the biggest most sincere group hug ever since we’ve all relied on DZ to get us through this year. I love you, DZ, and I can’t wait to see what comes next."
- Daisy Ortiz, Fall 2020
I never thought I would join a sorority until meeting some girls during tabling Fall '19 and realized how much I wanted this group of girls as my family. The networking and travel opportunities have been a plus, but knowing I always have people I can trust and go to when I need to always warms my heart and is the reason I fall in love with DZ all over again everyday."
- Mackenzie Smith, Fall 2019
"The reason why I joined Delta Zeta was because I was a transfer student so I didn't know anyone or anything about the campus. I knew I wanted to make many memories and my forever friends/sisters! Joining Delta Zeta helped make my experience here at CSUN the best! I have made so many friends already and got to know the campus really well. Everyone in Delta Zeta is so sweet and genuine! I love my sisters with all my heart."
- Natalie Vartan, Fall 2019

"If I'm being truthfully honest, I didn't even think I'd ever join a sorority in college, let alone be Vice President during my third year being in DZ, but I wouldn't change this experience for the world. I still remember the moment I decided that DZ was the house for me. It was my Senior year of high school, I met a couple of active sisters, one of them being my big, and those sisters truly helped shape my decision of whether or not I should go greek or not. Joining Delta Zeta really helped me grow a lot in college and I couldn't be any more grateful to have such an amazing sisterhood by my side. I've some of my best friends because of DZ, and I've also learned a lot about myself the past three years I've been in DZ. From becoming PR Chair 2020 to becoming Vice President 2021, I can proudly say that I've grown to love this sisterhood more than I had ever imagined. Although I only have one year left in DZ, I've made so many friends that I know it'll last a lifetime."
- Angelica Maddatu, Vice President 2021

"Joining Delta Zeta was the best decision I could have done. From the moment I met the amazing girls of Delta Zeta, I knew I was at home. When I met them we were strangers, but they were strangers that felt like long-lost friends and that’s how I knew Delta Zeta was the house for me. There was an instant connection between us and they were so genuine during recruitment. I loved learning about our sisterhood and what they did for their community. I could see the strong sisterhood that the girls had and I knew I wanted to be part of something special. They also placed the greatest importance on excelling academically and professionally. I knew I wouldn’t have had to “conform” in order to feel welcome in Delta Zeta. We’re all so unique, yet we are able to come together and build strong bonds. I spend so much time with my sisters and there is always someone to hang out with. So you’re never alone, you want a gym buddy? Ask your sister. You need someone to go out with? Ask your sister. Besides, I met people I would have never met otherwise. There are so many people on campus, what are the chances I could have met my sisters without joining a sorority? My sisters encouraged me to take on leadership positions within our sorority and on campus. Looking back I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities this sisterhood has given me and for allowing me to blossom into the leader I am today. To this day I know that I made the right choice and that I’m exactly where I belong."
